Application Status

Hello All!
Sorry for not updating in while. The holidays has made it a little tough to sit down and write. Speaking of the holidays, we had an amazing time in Boonville with the Emmons gang. We got to visit Coach B and also my Great Uncle Glenn. We got a lot of cool gifts but it was even better to be home for a little while. The greatest gift I received was probably the circular saw I got from my Dad. Thanks again for that!

Also, Tanie has graduated from college!!! I am so proud of her! I cannot believe we are both out of college and ready to take on the world ;) I think she is going to be bread winner of the family with the talent that she has. I still wonder how I have an amazing woman like her!

I have some news updates from the Peace Corps side of my life. I have finally turned in all my paperwork to Washington D.C.! That is a such a relief to me. All the paperwork that I turned in ended up being over 50 pages. Talk about an exhausting and expensive process, but in the end (if everything turns out alright) will be worth it. I just got conformation back from them through email that my Dental work has cleared. That was the most iffy part of the medical review. So I had a little dance/coffee party this morning about this. It is crazy how this looks like this is coming together. We could be oversees in 6 months! Wow!

With Tanie we are still waiting on her last dentist appointment on the 15th of January. Then we can copy all her paperwork then send it. (If you click on the picture on the left you will see my current status. This picture comes directly from the peace corps website.)

Thanks for reading and trying to understand our long and exciting process.

Matt and Tanie :)

More News

Matt has gotten through his dentist appointments now and he is just waiting to get his dental ex-rays back so that he can send in his medical packet! He does not need to have his wisdom teeth taken out, so that's a relief. I still have my upcoming appointments though so I probably won't be able to turn in my packet until the end of January. Once those are turned in we will just have to wait for our invitation which will tell us which country we are going to be in during our service.

I found this great blog post that talks about being a Christian in the Peace Corps. I used it in my big final Youth Ministry project/presentation that I did very well on yesterday!!
Here is the link to that: My Portion

Also on another note, Matt's Sister Rachel was got married to Emanuel Sarikie this last Thanksgiving weekend! The wedding was beautiful and it was a lot of fun to spend time with Matt's family. Matt and I are looking forward to getting back down there sometime for the Christmas holiday.

Also my finals week is coming up on the 15th of December so I am almost Graduated from College! Yay! I'll be really excited once I get through all of my finals and projects that this have left to do.

Thanks for reading!!
